We are a proud builder of LEED-Certified homes. Green building, or sustainable development, incorporates economic, health, social and environmental benefits, creating a sustainable community. We integrate building practices that reduce detrimental impacts on the natural environment, promote healthy indoor air quality for occupants, and reduce energy costs while increasing long-term affordability. Our sustainable practices align directly with our organization’s mission to provide safe, decent, and affordable homes.
On March 28th 2011, Habitat for Humanity Montreal was awarded the prestigious Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification by the Green Building Council of Canada for our Ste-Clotilde project in St-Henri.
Our commitment aims for green building on each future home.
